As we reach the end of challenging year for everyone, we’re proud of our team for constantly adapting and adhering to Government guidelines to keep our business running throughout 2020.
Not only have we kept going, but we’ve also bolstered our ranks with the appointment of three new apprentices across the business this year.
Two new starters have joined us on electrical apprenticeship schemes run by Tyne North Training, based at Tyne Met College in Wallsend.
Kai Downey and Jamie Diamond will each undertake a four-year electrical apprenticeship with Northern Switchgear, during which time they will hone their craft as electrical engineers. Both Kai and Jamie joined us in the autumn and have been a great addition to the team.
Alex Daly joined us on a business administration apprenticeship earlier this year, again through Tyne North Training. Alex already has some experience of electrical installation so has been a great asset to our administrative team. He is due to complete his apprenticeship in 18 months.
We’re delighted to welcome Kai, Jamie, and Alex to the Northern Switchgear team and to end a challenging year in such a positive way.
