Northern Switchgear was commissioned by electrical contractors McNally & Thompson to develop key elements of a new premises for expanding global pharmaceutical company, Sterling Pharma Solutions.
Sterling Pharma Solutions specialises in API (active pharmaceutical ingredient) development and manufacture. Based in Cramlington, Northumberland, the company also has a base in North Carolina, USA, and the business continues to grow.
When Sterling Pharma sought to expand its headquarters in Cramlington, Northern Switchgear were brought on board by electrical contractors McNally & Thompson to design and develop an MCC switchboard that would meet the complex requirements of the facility.
We worked closely with the client to understand the needs and constraints of the facility and developed a system which was not only fit for purpose, but which also met the stringent safety requirements associated with chemical production.
We were pleased to bring Northern Switchgear on board with the Sterling Pharma project. We knew their technical expertise and experience in pharmaceutical plants would be an asset and would enhance the level of service we could provide to our client. We look forward to working with NSG again.
