Located in the heart of Wembley Park, NW07 & 08 is a contemporary residential development with 361 units of 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments. It is part of a wider regeneration of the Wembley area as a vibrant residential, retail, cultural and entertainment area.

Commissioned by CD Engineering Services and working alongside construction company Wates and architects Flanagan Lawrence, Northern Switchgear’s role in the project was to design, build and install LVAC switchgear for the development.

The project requirements called for electrical switchboards to be housed in the basement of the development, and Northern Switchgear worked closely with CD Engineering from the outset to find a solution that matched the specifications and requirements of the project brief. Delivering and installing the equipment into its final location provided its own challenges. Wembley’s prominence and location in the centre of London meant that accessing the site with HGVs required prior agreement with security agencies. Once on site, the switchboards were lowered into position through a hole in the ground before being installed in their final locations.

The project is one of several extensive residential projects that Northern Switchgear have been involved with in recent months. Their role in the project has now concluded and the development is due to complete in October 2018.
